Building for well-being, reducing the impact on the environment

The choices that Kino applies in its projects contemplate functional needs, energy efficiency and aesthetic impact in the context, favouring technological innovation as much as possible.

The growing awareness of the limitedness of environmental resources has activated extensive research that already offers innovative, effective and suitable products to guarantee an improved, ecologically sustainable construction mode.

Kino‘s goal is to design buildings with a low environmental impact, containing their energy demand and therefore meeting the needs of current generations without compromising the future of the next ones.

Examples of this are numerous realisations and in particular its headquarters in Taranto, an experimental laboratory in which some of the main elements of sustainable architecture are implemented:

  • Bioecological and “short chain” materials;
  • Insulation of the building envelope;
  • Photovoltaic panels integrated into the building artefact;
  • Illuminations that dialogue with natural light collectors through electronic lighting level detection systems that modulate the intensity of the lamps according to the amount of light coming from the outside.
