Wedding Gown Boutique
Fabiana Spose, a historic brand in Taranto’s retail market, entrusted Kino Workshop with the 40 year anniversary renovation of their headquarters. Extremely complex due to the inherent problems of building expansion, the end result was a triplication of the square footage of the structure. A careful study of spacial recomposition based on color palette, lighting design, and careful material selection, it was completed in only four months.
The wedding dress industry has its own specific necessities. On one hand, the obvious desire is a sophisticated concept of objective elegance, but the architectural project must also be beyond functional; a perfect example is the lighting design which must be not only welcoming and flattering, but perfectly color balanced. Kino Workshop’s design choices, were all made with the utmost attention to the balance of form, light, and materials. The shapes of the various furnishings, to the lighting design, colors, and finishes fall under a singular symphony contained within the bounds of complex yet homogeneous architecture.
From the lightness of form of sofas floating over open bases and wall mounted cabinetry, to the shades of taupe, cocoa, beige passing through burnished glass, all coming to maximum splendor in the spiral staircase composed of metal banisters, tempered glass stairs, and a crystal handrail.
Kino Workshop received the commission from the Bar of Taranto to transform the extremely damp, narrow Tribunal of Taranto into a stylish room to be used for meetings between lawyers and clients.
